Detailed design of the multimodal link from the Marco Polo Airport and the existing Venice-Turin line, for a total length of about 8 km. Scope of work comprised the civil works and structures of the line, the study of the profile and alignment and the design of the complementary roads system. Significant structures are a cut and cover tunnel of about 3km in length and the underground structures of the new station to serve the Airport

Landbridge

The Saudi Landbridge Project is a planned railway project which forms part of the Saudi Railways Expansion Programme and will connect Jeddah on the Red Sea coast with the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh. E.D.IN. carried out the preliminary and detailed design of the segment from km 80 to km 180, comprising eighteen prestressed concrete viaducts, one of which of 7410m overall length, and one concrete arch bridge of 230m span. For the earthworks the most relevant is a 3 km, fifty m deep trench, to a total of about 5 million cubic m of excavated rock. Activities comprised also three flyovers and seven underpasses.

Construction design and works assistance for the major works, comprising nine prestressing concrete viaducts and four cut and cover tunnels, two of which for intersections. Noticeable the viaducts on the Oglio and Serio rivers, with overall length of about 1 km each.

Detail design of major and minor bridges and viaducts, segment from Apice Hirpinia to Frasso Vitulano. Comprises several viaducts of significant overall length, with steel concrete composite decks of 45 to 60m, as well as three flyovers, also of considerable length. Scope of the work included also the design of several technological buildings, the design for the line and nearby roads, the Hirpinia Station and the Apice stop.
